2000 Currie Cup First Division
2000 Bankfin Cup

The 2000 Currie Cup First Division, known as the Bankfin Cup, was played for by 6 teams and was the 2nd tier of the Currie Cup competition. 

The six teams were the bottom 3 teams from each section of a qualifying series. Points gained from playing the other 2 teams that qualified were carried over. Teams then played the 3 teams from the opposite section of the qualifying series once. The top four moved on to the semi-finals.
