The 2009 Junior World Championship is the international rugby competition for the Under-20 players in the IRB nations. It is run by the IRB, the International Rugby Board, which is the organisation that governs and controls the game of rugby throughout the world.
In 2009 the Championship was held in Japan and there were 16 teams taking part. They played in 4 pools of 4 teams.
