The 2011 Currie Cup First Division was played for by 6 teams and was the 2nd tier of the Currie Cup competition. It acted as the feeder competition for the Currie Cup Premier Dvision which played for the Currie Cup trophy. Teams played each other twice on a home and away basis. After the pool play, the top 4 teams played semi-finals and the final to find the winner. As the 2012 Currie Cup First Division was going to have 8 teams there was no promotion/relegation involved in the 2011 competition. |
