The 2011 Currie Cup Premier Division was played for by 8 teams and the teams played for the Currie Cup trophy. Teams played each other twice on a home and away basis. After the pool play, the top 4 teams played semi-finals and the final to find the winner. In 2012 the Currie Cup Premier Division would have only 6 teams in it so the bottom 2 teams in the 2011 competition would be relegated to the Currie Cup First Division for 2012. |
