Currie Cup First Division Results

In 2018 there were to be 8 teams in the Currie Cup First Division. These were the same teams that played in the 2017 competition. However, a number of teams faced severe financial issues and the Welwitchias team from Namibia withdrew from the competition. Teams played each other once and at the completion of these games, the top 4 teams play in Semi-Finals, with the winners progressing on to the Final. In 2018 the EPRU announced the name of the team would revert to the Eastern Province Elephants. The winners of the seven team First Division will play a promotion relegation match against the last placed Premier Division team. |
