In 2020, COVID-19 issues meant that a revised competition was required for a much later start than usual. A Super Rugby Unlocked competition was played among the 4 Super franchise teams and 3 others added for the competition. At the completion of this competition all points were carried over to and the 7 provincial teams played in the Currie Cup competition. Teams play each other team only once and at the completion of these games, the top 4 teams play in Semi-Finals, with the winners progressing on to the Final. |
